Welcome to Glyph! A geometric word puzzle where the letters of the daily word have been overlaid on top of each other.
How to play
- Using the Overword puzzle, decode the letters included in the word.
- Guess the right letter in the right spot? It disappears from the overlay, helping you decode the remainder.
- Guess a letter in the daily word in the wrong spot? It is colored in the overlay.
- Because letters are physically overlaid, the amount of a colored letter that’s visible can hint at where in the word it lives. The first letter is on top and the last letter is on the bottom.
Example
Suppose the answer is
COAST.
- You guess CLOAK → C disappears (right letter, right spot). O and A are in the word but in the wrong spots, so those letters get colored in the overlay.
- Because letters are stacked, you might only see parts of a colored O or A — that “visibility” can hint whether it’s near the front, middle, or end.
Note: Every correctly guessed letter is assigned a color in ROY G BIV order.
The only way to get a perfect rainbow solve is to get it in one!
